Mark Vollmer (Guelph, ON)
Sponsored by SoLo Gi Nutrition, Mark is an accomplished road racer, cross-country athlete and recently has represented Canada at the World Championships in Mountain Running.  Mark was captain of the Guelph Gryphons Cross-Country team when they were the best cross-country team in Canadian university competition.  Mark has also posted phenomenal times in both the half and full marathon events.  Mark lives in Guelph but spends his summers in Edmonton.  

Dylan Hackenbrook (Red Deer, AB)
Dylan was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. As a member of the Red Deer Titans Track club, Dylan competed at Junior Nationals placing 8th in the steeplechase and running a 4:04 1500m. After attending Red Deer College, Dylan moved to Edmonton and ran with the University of Alberta Golden Bears Cross-Country team. During his time at U of A, he competed in the CIS National Cross-Country Championships three years in a row. Dylan is tearing up the workouts in previous weeks and will be a favourite Saturday night (Aug 21).  His current goals include breaking 32 minutes in the 10km and running a sub 4 minute 1500m.

Maxime Leboef (Edmonton, AB)
Maxime was a member of the biathlon national team from 2003 to 2009. Maxime started running last fall with University of Alberta Golden Bears and had a very successful season as a varsity athlete. He is currently training for the 2010 edition of the Canadian University Cross-Country Running Championship where he hopes to obtain a top 20 finish.  Maxime has been dominating road races this year recently winning the Little Big Run in Edmonton this May and numerous races in his home province of Quebec. 

Greame Law (Edmonton, AB)
As a member of the Edmonton Thunder Track and Field Team, Graeme has competed at the Junior National Championships in 2008 and 2009. Graeme is currently studying at the University of Alberta where he competes on the varsity track and cross-country teams. Graeme enters the Northlands Run with the Horses for the first time and looks forward to improving in every race he runs. 

Matt Setlack (Cold Lake, AB)
Sponsored by Running Room Canada, Matt recently placed 3rd at the Ottawa Race Weekend 5km in a blistering 15:13. He attended the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario where he competed in cross-country and track as a member of the RMC Varsity Running Team.  He is coached by Canadian Masters runner Steve Boyd. Matt has been a member of the Canadian Forces Running Team since 2007 and has competed at the World CISM Cross-Country Championships in Switzerland in 2008 and Belgium in 2010. He is employed as an Aerospace Engineer for the CF and is based out of Cold Lake. Alberta.

Dave Brown (Edmonton, AB)
Dave is a former member of the University of New Brunswick's Varsity Reds Cross Country team and is now a proud member of the Golden Bears Track and Cross Country team. One of Dave’s highlights was racing in the 3km steeple chase at the 2009 Canada Summer Games.
