Welcome to the 2011 Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon Elite Program!

The 2011 Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon Elite Program supports the dedication and commitment of elite athletes; both Canadian and International, by providing them with support to participate in the Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon Event, 21.1 km Energy Capital Half Marathon Alberta Championships and the Northlands Run with the Horses 10km.

All three races share a prize purse of over $10,000. All qualified athletes are encouraged to apply for the program and experience first-hand the Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon. This year the elites will have the opportunity to run through Alberta’s Capital on a stunning flat and fast course.

• Thank you for putting on an amazing marathon yesterday. It was my 10th marathon but my first in Edmonton and I loved every minute of it. It was an exceptionally well organized event, and the course was perfect for a marathon. I will be spreading the word about this event!
   
• I thought the event was extremely well organized. All staff and volunteers were amazing! Communication from you was always prompt and pleasant. The course was great and, all together, it made my first marathon attempt a really enjoyable experience. Thank-you!

The continued success  of the Canadian Derby Edmonton marathon is due to its large number of dedicated volunteers and we thank all those who have given their time to this great event.
 
We have now launched a new on-line registration system for volunteers. There are many changes that you will notice that will make signing up to volunteer for the Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon! Once you are on the site, you will need to register yourself.

Hot buffet brunch at The Horses at Northlands Park for all participants in Sunday events (included in entry fee). Draw prizes and age group awards for both walkers and runners to follow as well.

The Sports Expo is FREE and open to the public during race week package pickup and walk up registration. The Expo will feature a good variety of fitness-related exhibitors.  Shop for running and fitness apparel, sample healthy snacks, and learn about upcoming races and more.
